Avaada Group secures PPAs for 14 GW renewable energy, Energy News, ET EnergyWorld

Mumbai: Avaada Group, a renewable energy firm, on Friday said it has commissioned 5.2 GW of renewable energy capacity across nine states under its subsidiary, Avaada Energy.
With a total of 14 GW secured through long-term power purchase agreements (PPAs), the company is set to achieve full operational capacity by 2027, according to the official press release.
“We are dedicated to transforming India’s energy landscape by scaling up renewable power and sustainability-driven innovations. Our projects not only contribute to India’s energy security but also align with global climate goals,” said Vineet Mittal, chairman, Avaada Group.
The company is currently establishing a 6 GW wafer-to-cell production line in Nagpur, expected to be operational by December 2025. Additionally, a 5 GW solar module manufacturing facility is set to commence operations by June 2024.
Avaada Electro, the manufacturing arm of Avaada Group, is driving India’s self-reliance in solar energy by building a fully integrated silicon-to-module manufacturing ecosystem.
The company is also developing energy storage solutions to ensure grid stability and maximize renewable energy utilisation.
