Vivek Dahiya takes a playful dig at Udit Narayan’s infamous ‘kissing’ incident as wife Divyanka Tripathi wins a trophy; says ‘Good that only handshakes are required…’

Television’s beloved couple Divyanka Tripathi and Vivek Dahiya recently attended an awards function in Goa, where Divyanka was honored with a trophy for her work. The couple, who are known for their playful chemistry and strong bond, shared glimpses of their Goa trip through their vlog—mixing moments of celebration, humor, and sweet romance.
During the trip, the duo squeezed in time to explore the local culture and even tried some Peruvian cuisine. As Divyanka stepped away to wash her hands before dinner, Vivek playfully asked her to take his hands too. In a light-hearted moment, he kissed her on the cheek and cheekily added, “I am so proud of you… Good that only handshakes are required while accepting award, socho agar Udit Narayan ji hote toh…”—a playful reference to the recent viral video involving singer Udit Narayan kissing a fan on the lips, which sparked debate and reactions across social media.
Divyanka, touched by the moment, also penned an emotional note on her win. “Each achievement kept getting space in the articles and in people’s hearts. And thank you Viv (@vivekdahiya) for just being there for me… At times, you holding my hand, walking by my side is the only and the biggest support I need.”
Despite the celebratory mood, the trip ended on a slightly stressful note as Divyanka caught a fever on their way back from Goa.
She shared that she still had to attend another awards function, showcasing her commitment to work even when under the weather.
Both Divyanka and Vivek continue to keep busy with individual projects. While Divyanka has been active in reality shows and television dramas, Vivek has been taking up selective acting assignments and continues to support his wife’s ever-growing list of accolades. Vivek is seen in a music video, which is produced by Surbhi Chandna. Their relationship, filled with mutual admiration and camaraderie, remains one of TV’s most loved love stories.
